Overview

Creating a structure over the

I collaborated with the Insight Web Team to convert traditional static infographics into interactive, web-native experiences. The project centered on Insight's "Age Is Just a Number" campaign about device fleet modernization. I proposed and helped implement embedded circular video elements and scroll-driven animations across two complementary formats: a vertical scrolling experience and a horizontal slide-based presentation. Both were designed for campaign teams to deploy across client and partner websites.

The Challenge

Insight's campaign content relied on flat image-based infographics. Despite strong underlying data from Gartner, Flexera, and Nexthink, the format offered no interactivity. Campaign teams needed embeddable, modern assets that could tell a story progressively instead of presenting everything at once.

Role

I sourced reference examples and proposed the circular embedded video concept as the visual anchor for each data section. I used Claude AI to rapidly prototype animation logic, responsive layouts, and interaction patterns, then collaborated with the Web Team through Figma for design reviews and GitHub for code reviews. I structured the narrative flow across both formats to sequence data points for maximum comprehension.

Solution

We built two distinct experiences from the same content. The first was a long-form vertical scroll with parallax effects, animated data visualizations, and an interactive quiz. The second was a full-viewport horizontal presentation with morphing geometric fragments and cinematic gradient transitions. Both featured circular embedded video zones, animated stat counters, and progressive content reveals. Both were self-contained HTML files, deployable without developer support.

Impact

AI-assisted prototyping cut development cycles by roughly 60%. Campaign teams gained plug-and-play assets with an estimated 2× increase in dwell time over static equivalents.

Takeaway
Let the interaction serve the story, not the other way around

The most effective features were the ones that helped users understand the data — not the ones that looked impressive in isolation.
